On May 24 World Organization of Creditors will hold a ceremony awarding the World Investment Award "Investment Angel". The event is organized in the framework of the VI Astana Economic Forum, the presentation of the awards will take place at the reception attended by Serik Akhmetov, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

World Organization of Creditors holds the annual Award in the territories of different countries of the world: politicians, businessmen, investors and diplomats are its active participants. The World Investment Award "Investment Angel" is exclusive and one of its kind. Since 2010 Robert Abdullin – the President of World Organization of Creditors- has been serving as the chairman of the Awards’ organizing committee.

As of today, the Award is recognized by the international business community: among the awardees are – the heads of governments, the heads and representatives of government agencies, the business communities of developed and developing countries of the world.

The "Investment Angel" Award is designed to encourage the development of various sectors of the economy, to increase the investment attractiveness of the Russian Federation and the CIS countries, as well as to stimulate the investment activity of investors and projects they invest in.

This year the following nominations are announced: "The most successful investment project in Kazakhstan", "The largest foreign and domestic investor in the Republic of Kazakhstan", "The most dynamic local and foreign banks", "For a significant contribution to the economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan."

The selection of winners is conducted by the independent Council of experts on the basis of official statistics provided by the core ministries of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
